[In the months since being forcibly changed into a wendigo, Kimbley has gotten used to the cold. It's comforting, in an odd way. Maybe that's because he's a creature of the cold. It makes sense, doesn't it? It's funny in some twisted, bitter way that a man who was always cold in prison is now a creature that exists only in the frigid cold.

But that's not bothering him right now, not really. It makes him angry, but Kimbley's content to shove it away and not focus on it.

What is bothering him, is how hot it's getting. And how his fur has decided that now is a good time to start shedding everywhere in an effort to stay cool. The antlers are probably in danger of falling out soon, too, but right now he's miserable because of how just touching his mane causes fur to fall out.]

Dammit! What the hell is this?!

[So he's going to angrily shout at nothing because that makes him feel a little better.]

No, it wouldn't. I'd be concerned about freezing.

[It's said sarcastically but he really wouldn't risk it. He's more concerned about it being uncomfortable than frostbite though.]

[He gets up to leave, pausing at the door.]

Let me know if you need anything; I'll be out here.

You're not going to stay and watch?

[He sounds like he's not being serious, at least.]

I doubt I'll be missing anything too interesting.

[He shakes his head, still looking amused. He can't blush anymore so at least there's that, but he's a little embarrassed by it as well.]

Nah, just me sleeping on a block of ice.

[He's not going to stop Archer so at least this isn't going to get horribly awkward.

...but he really is going to nap in the bathtub like a weirdo.]

Don't sleep for too long.

[Even as an undead wendigo that can't be good!]

[He'll be right outside reading if you need anything!]

I'm not gonna sleep for too long, just long enough to cool down.

[He's going to be unpleasant to the touch when he wakes up, but he does wake eventually after only an hour or two. Kimbley looks much more comfortable, so at least there's that.]

[That should be okay, right? He's definitely not letting Kimbley sleep for any longer than two hours. He'll knock on the door when he hears Kimbley speak up.]

[Taking a shower is going to be irritating for Archer, but Kimbley is comfortable as hell right now.]

Yeah, I'm fine.

[He reappears from the bathroom a few minutes later, looking content.

...and cold, but that's not anything new.]

Archer's the type to shout at him if Kimbley ever tried to lounge around naked.]

I'm not miserable, so I'd call it a success.

Good to hear. As long as you're no longer burning up I think we can call it a worthwhile investment.

[And the advantage is Kimbley can basically be Archer's air conditioner.]

I don't mind it right now, anyway. But I'm going to be glad when it's winter again.

You'll have to wait awhile for that.

[They're going to be spending a lot on ice this summer, aren't they...?]

[Kimbley could always just spend the summer in the lake...]

[...You'd drown. Even though you don't need to breathe you'd still manage to drown somehow.]

We'll make it through somehow. We always do.

[No he won't! He'll be fine.

...but he might freeze the lake.]

We've managed to survive this long. What can go wrong?

[He's joking though. Hopefully nothing will go wrong!]

Come on, what's the worst that can happen?

[Besides the two of them doing something really stupid.]

[There are plenty of awful things that could happen here, but Archer tries not to focus on that.]

Well I suppose we'll have to wait and see, hmm?

[But they're fine! Nothing awful has happened.

...well there is Kimbley's whole problem with Archer, but he's trying to ignore it. Maybe if he pretends it doesn't exist, his crush will go away!]

Maybe I don't want to wait and see. Maybe I want to cause trouble instead.

[It's much easier to not think about it!]

You know as well as I do that we can't risk that.

It's not like I need to hunt right now. I wasn't of about that kind of trouble.
