[In the months since being forcibly changed into a wendigo, Kimbley has gotten used to the cold. It's comforting, in an odd way. Maybe that's because he's a creature of the cold. It makes sense, doesn't it? It's funny in some twisted, bitter way that a man who was always cold in prison is now a creature that exists only in the frigid cold.

But that's not bothering him right now, not really. It makes him angry, but Kimbley's content to shove it away and not focus on it.

What is bothering him, is how hot it's getting. And how his fur has decided that now is a good time to start shedding everywhere in an effort to stay cool. The antlers are probably in danger of falling out soon, too, but right now he's miserable because of how just touching his mane causes fur to fall out.]

Dammit! What the hell is this?!

[So he's going to angrily shout at nothing because that makes him feel a little better.]

[Besides the two of them doing something really stupid.]

[There are plenty of awful things that could happen here, but Archer tries not to focus on that.]

Well I suppose we'll have to wait and see, hmm?

[But they're fine! Nothing awful has happened.

...well there is Kimbley's whole problem with Archer, but he's trying to ignore it. Maybe if he pretends it doesn't exist, his crush will go away!]

Maybe I don't want to wait and see. Maybe I want to cause trouble instead.

[It's much easier to not think about it!]

You know as well as I do that we can't risk that.

[So much for joking. He's entirely serious about this.]

It's not like I need to hunt right now. I wasn't of about that kind of trouble.

I don't know. I didn't get that far.

I figured I could destroy something.

You know we have to be careful here. I can't cover for you like I could back home.

You really should trust me. I'm not going to do anything to get either of us in trouble.

[He leans heavily into the couch, sighing.]

I'm not gonna regret anything.

[...that's your problem, Kimbley.]

I'm sure you'd regret it if something happened to us.

[He's actually not sure about that since they haven't talked about that incident, but he's going to pretend, alright.]

[That actually gets Kimbley to hesitate.]

Nothing's going to happen to us.

Nothing should happen to us, but being reckless isn't going to help any.

[Everything that's happened here hasn't been their fault though, so at least there's that.]

[Leave it to Archer to be a massive stickler about Kimbley causing unspecified trouble.]

I'm not going to do anything. I'll stick right here if you don't believe me.

Good. I don't want things to get any worse than they already are.

[Kimbley laughs bitterly, shaking his head.]

I'm not sure how they can.

[He can think of several ways, actually, but Archer keeps his mouth shut on that and tries to switch gears.]

When do you think your fur will fall out?

[viliorate]

[As far as Kimbley's concerned, the only way it could get worse is if one of them vanishes on the other.]

I don't know, that's why I was thinking of pulling it all out. It's an undercoat; it'll probably all fall out.

Won't that hurt?

[He doesn't want to think about the awful things that could happen, so this is a much safer conversation.]

Huh? Of course not. The undercoat's already falling out, it's not going to hurt.

Pulling it out sounds like it would hurt regardless...

[But it's not like he has fur, so how would he know?]

[Kimbley shrugs.]

Maybe a little if I yank on it too hard.
