[In the months since being forcibly changed into a wendigo, Kimbley has gotten used to the cold. It's comforting, in an odd way. Maybe that's because he's a creature of the cold. It makes sense, doesn't it? It's funny in some twisted, bitter way that a man who was always cold in prison is now a creature that exists only in the frigid cold.

But that's not bothering him right now, not really. It makes him angry, but Kimbley's content to shove it away and not focus on it.

What is bothering him, is how hot it's getting. And how his fur has decided that now is a good time to start shedding everywhere in an effort to stay cool. The antlers are probably in danger of falling out soon, too, but right now he's miserable because of how just touching his mane causes fur to fall out.]

Dammit! What the hell is this?!

[So he's going to angrily shout at nothing because that makes him feel a little better.]

Good. I don't want things to get any worse than they already are.

[Kimbley laughs bitterly, shaking his head.]

I'm not sure how they can.

[sadisticwarfare]

[He can think of several ways, actually, but Archer keeps his mouth shut on that and tries to switch gears.]

When do you think your fur will fall out?

[viliorate]

[As far as Kimbley's concerned, the only way it could get worse is if one of them vanishes on the other.]

I don't know, that's why I was thinking of pulling it all out. It's an undercoat; it'll probably all fall out.

Won't that hurt?

[He doesn't want to think about the awful things that could happen, so this is a much safer conversation.]

[viliorate]

Huh? Of course not. The undercoat's already falling out, it's not going to hurt.

[sadisticwarfare]

Pulling it out sounds like it would hurt regardless...

[But it's not like he has fur, so how would he know?]

[viliorate]

[Kimbley shrugs.]

Maybe a little if I yank on it too hard.

[sadisticwarfare]

Well I'm sure you'll manage to avoid that. Are you going to do that soon?

[viliorate]

I should probably go ahead and get it over with now. I hate feeling like I'm gonna melt, the mane just makes it worse.

[So he's going to get up and grab a brush. He has so many of these now that it's a huge pain in the ass, but he's managing. Sort of.

He returns a few minutes later sitting back down and staring at the brush in his hand.]

...probably gonna need your help again.

Ah, we should probably do this over the trash can, but I don't mind helping.

[He'll just fetch one of the smaller ones so Kimbley can lean over that. There, that should do the trick!]

[viliorate]

[Kimbley smirks.]

Thanks.

[So he's just going to... do this. And make faces as he does because ugh that's a lot of fur.]

[Good luck... He'll just be standing here as support for the time being since there's really nothing he can do.]

[viliorate]

[At least Kimbley will be talking about nothing in particular to make the situation less awkward.

Eventually he finishes, at least with his chest and shoulders. The mane hasn't shrunk in size that much, but it still looks less dense than it was. Still fluffy as hell, though.]

[That's perfectly fine! He doesn't mind talking about nothing.

That said, he can sort of see a difference in what Kimbley's done so far, but man that is a lot of fur...]

Would you like me to take care of the back now?

[viliorate]

[He really hates having fur everywhere. Maybe he should buy a few razors instead of brushing it out.

Kimbley nods.]

Yeah, go ahead.

[sadisticwarfare]

[That depends on how quickly it grows back. They might need more than a few...

Archer takes the brush and begins to work on the back like Kimbley did with the front. He's careful and doesn't pull too hard, but he's trying to be as efficient as possible.]

[viliorate]

[Thankfully, Kimbley doesn't seem to mind too much, but it is a little awkward. It's not that he feels awkward about asking Archer for help, but today has involved a lot of touching; he's not really sure how he feels about it.

It's a good thing he can't blush anymore, because otherwise he'd be bright red.]

[That is pretty handy, isn't it?

Archer finds this a little odd, but it's better than leaving Kimbley's fur knotted forever, so he's glad he can help. He just focuses on that: helping. It's nothing more than that, obviously!]

[It's really strange, but Kimbley wouldn't ask anyone else.

Obviously he's just asking because he doesn't trust anyone!]

[Well obviously!! Who else would you ask anyway? He's already living with you so this makes the most sense!]

[viliorate]

[If anyone else tried to touch Kimbley, they'd probably be severely hurt.

...don't think too hard about why he'd let Archer touch him, though. You're better off!]

[sadisticwarfare]

[Well, it would just be weird otherwise, right? It's not like they're always touching or anything, but if there was no touching involve that would be pretty strange.]

[viliorate]

[Well, they are friends.

That just makes Archer special!

...They just happen to sleep in the same bed.]

[sadisticwarfare]

[That's just because they don't have enough room for another bed!

...And Archer also sleeps better with someone there, look that's not important.]
