[Beato has good night vision. It comes from waltzing around mansions at night for several years, playing pranks on people.

And since there's nothing else to do in this place Beatrice has a plan: take her rightful place as the ruler of the night, just like she is in Rokkenjima.

There she goes, sneaking around the darkness into the library. It'd be much easier if she could turn into golden butterflies but at least this is a challenge for her. What kind of plan can she create now? She has an idea already, simple and frankly a bit childish (as usual with her when it's time to mess around).

The problem is if she'd be able to pull it off without Dio noticing her presence until it's time to reveal herself]

[See, Beato, here's the thing. The title of ruler of the night is currently occupied, as is the title of 'frankly a bit childish'.]

[But hey. He'll let you sneak around and see what you're up to. Whatever it is, his book seems more interesting right now anyway.]

[Move with grace, don't let him notice you're here, be careful and run away before he finds out it's you. And if he finds out...pretend it was your intention all along.

Repeating it to herself a couple times Beato takes a thin book and approaches one of the lit candles. Making sure to not to make any noise she started fanning the candle in an effort to extinguish it. And it happens, it's gone! She runs to the next with surprising stealth, staying in the shadows.

Her plan is simple. Extinguish the candles one by one until it bothers Dio. Watch him relight them and every time he lights one up she'd get rid of another. Lead him around until he's frustrated or tired of walking around and then take away the book he's reading. Once she has it then GET OUT OF THERE.

Maybe that book will be left wherever Dio sleeps, making it look like it'd impossible for the book to get in there in the first place, that'd be good. If only she had time to leave scribbled some sort of magic circle on the chair Dio is on...but she doesn't and besides it isn't like she has paint or anything]

[This, admittedly, is a cunning plan. As pranks go, it's well thought out without being overly complicated.]

[But it hinges on one crucial detail.]

[And it doesn't look like Dio cares enough to get up and re-light the candles at all.]

[That's how Beato rolls when she's not showing herself in the open. Not too complicated but enough to make people feel dread.

At least that was the idea and IT'S NOT WORKING. Beato has managed to extinguish most of the candles, only a couple being left, but Dio hasn't reacted at all. Her satisfaction at seeing her work was starting to turn into frustration at not being acknowledged.

Biting her lip to avoid herself from growling something and giving away her position she fanned one of the candles, only one being left]

[No dice. In fact, he just turns a page like the lack of a light source does absolutely nothing at all.]

[He may or may not be ignoring this on purpose. It's kind of obvious there's no wayward breeze at work, Beato.]
